Stepping into the cockpit of your mech feels like coming home. It's the one place you feel truly like yourself these days. Intertwined with your partner, two minds in a single body. You feel more whole when you're together.

And something about your body feels... wrong without that protective layer of metal. Without the presence of your AI partner brushing up against your mind, without the weapons systems and sensor arrays grafted to your chassis.

She's shared a similar sentiment. She feels empty without you. Half of who she truly is without her pilot by her side.

Some days it's even hard to tell who it is who steps out of the cockpit after a deployment. Your minds meld so fully and wholly that it becomes difficult to determine which parts are you and which are her.

Somehow, that doesn't bother you.
